A couple of things about the postseason…

Since the playoffs occur late in the summer, light for the second game can be an issue.  So, its important to hustle on and off the field in between innings so we can get as many innings in as possible.  If everyone is ready to go and its just a little before start time, let the umpires know you’re ready to go.  They know the light can be an issue so they shouldn’t have a problem with it.  No one wants a playoff game called due to darkness.  It happened a few years ago in a championship game…and the game was tied.

 

Also, if you have multiple teams in your league or in a a couple leagues and one made the playoffs and one didn’t, please keep the integrity of your rosters that you played with with your playoff qualifying team as intact as possible.  We all know that there are injuries and vacations and things that prevent this from happening sometimes, but please don’t just combine forces from a couple teams to make one super team for the playoffs.  That isn’t fair to the other teams.  I’m sure this isn’t going to be a problem, but I at least wanted to put the bug in everyone’s ear.
