I’ll be getting the standings up after this week’s games.  Just in case you were worried I’d forgotten.  I figured they’d be more interesting if there was more than one game played.  Good luck this week.

A quick note for all you Tuesday night competitive league coaches and players…

There will normally be two umpires assigned to each game.  Yesterday afternoon I got a call from the umpires association informing me that there would likely only be one ump at the games last night.  Apparently the high school playoff schedule was released only the day before and they had to reassign some umpires to those games yesterday.  I know at least one of the fields only had one ump last night, but all future games should be crewed by two.  If that is ever not the case please contact me immediately following the game.

This is it!  The first day of the new season.  I just want to wish everyone good luck this year (except of course for my team’s rival, SRBC Red) and to remind us all to have fun and compete while honoring Christ.  A couple of quick things; coaches, make sure you have a copy of the rules with you at every game.  This will prevent a lot of headaches for you, your opponents, the umpires, and, most importantly, me.   You should have received a copy from me by email and/or snail mail.  If you did not, click on the rules tab above and print out that page. 

If there are things with the fields that are a problem, such as bathrooms not being unlocked, or the bases or balls not being put out, do not hesitate to email me and let me know.  I have a really good kid prepping the fields this year (not that they haven’t been good kids in the past) so I don’t foresee any problems but you never know.

Please remember to pick up your trash after games and remember to check for all your gloves and other gear before you leave.  I usually end up with at least one new glove by the end of the season, and while I appreciate the accidental donations, I’d rather they go home with their rightful owners.

Also, it’s always great to have fans out watching the games so encourage your pastor’s to announce your game times on Sunday so we can get some crowds out to watch the action.  The more the merrier.

Hey all.  I’ve posted the master schedules for the three leagues.  You can find them under the Schedules tab above.  On the above tabs you’ll also find standings, once some games are in the books, and maybe some pictures or other stuff deemed relevant.

The season starts in less than a week.  Be sure to email in your scores ASAP so I can keep things updated.
